Faku county in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province has launched a method for rural residents to access e-commerce services.

In cooperation with China Post Group, goods bought online will be directly transported to small villages in Faku county, which once had no access to courier services due to being in remote locations.

Correspondingly, agricultural products produced in rural areas can now be sold nationwide thanks to the fast logistics services provided by China Post; putting an end to the period when products were only consumed by local residents.

In addition, villagers can open online stores, apply for loans and order goods through the e-commerce service system established by China Post.

A staff member from China Post revealed that 54 Faku brands have joined the system, selling 466 categories of agricultural products.

A total of 233 supermarkets in Faku county have also joined the new e-commerce system, serving as agents of China Post to handle services such as parcel distribution. It is anticipated that the number of supermarkets will increase to 1,000 by the end of 2018.
