Substantial results from Lushunkou’s development

In the past five years, Lushunkou city has pushed forward supply-side structural reform and insisted on a new way of thinking of development, which has brought about remarkable achievements.

The total output value of the region has reached 120 billion yuan ($18.34 billion), with general public budget revenue rising to 13.22 billion yuan and fixed asset investment at 135.07 billion yuan.

The city has invested 11.85 billion yuan in people's livelihood improvement, which was 75 percent of the city's total financial expenditure. Its investment in education was 2.21 billion yuan.

The economic and technological development zone has been promoted to national development zone status, and the national agricultural science and technology park has passed the acceptance inspection. The Taiyanggou cultural industrial park and the Dalian clean energy economic development zone have become provincial parks.

In addition, a number of projects such as health care, Hong Kong airlines logistics, special tourism and historical culture were initiated. Lushunkou became a demonstration area for national agricultural standardization, a national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration zone, and a national export agricultural products quality security demonstration zone.

For the past five years, Lushunkou has actively constructed a national marine ecological civilization demonstration zone, which has been rated as a national greening model area.

At the same time, the city was also rated as a national security community city, a juvenile normal education demonstration zone and a provincial peace zone.
