Xiamen-based King Long Automotive Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Company on Dec 5 to promote new energy vehicles.

The two sides will make full use of their advantages in brands and resources to promote the wide use of new energy vehicles, cooperate in manufacturing shuttle buses and official cars and provide solutions to battery charging for new energy vehicles, according to the agreement.

They will share their respective products, markets, client information and public relation resources.

"The rapid development of new energy vehicles needs better supporting facilities and the State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Company is the leader in the Chinese battery charging field," Huang Chun, president of the King Long Automotive Group, said. "Our cooperation is sure to further promote the use of new energy vehicles."

Peng Jianguo, president of the State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Company, said that his company has been involved in the battery charging field for more than 12 years and has created a series of internationally recognized standard systems.

Peng affirmed that State Grid will offer the best solutions to battery charging and vehicle rentals and sales to King Long's clients.

The King Long Automotive Group was the first group to develop and promote new energy vehicles. It established its own product series after 20 year's development, from hybrid power to pure electric power and fuel cells and from large and medium-sized buses to special use buses.

Its new energy buses not only stay ahead of the competition in China, but are also exported to France, Israel, Holland, Spain, and other countries and regions.
