109 Fortune Global 500 projects settle in Guangzhou this year

The 2017 Fortune Global Forum held from Dec 6 to 8 in Guangzhou was not only a great dialogue platform for China with the world but also an opportunity to show Guangzhou's advantages especially its business atmosphere.

Guangzhou has become home to a total of 921 projects invested by Fortune Global 500 companies, among which 109 were set up in this year, according to Yang Yong, deputy director of Guangzhou municipal commission of commerce.

Guangzhou has become the city with the best business atmosphere in China and according to statistics from the city's administration for industry and commerce, more than 34,000 market entities settled in the city in November alone, up 52.24 percent year-on-year creating a total of 1,728,000 market entities in the municipality as of November this year.

"Guangzhou Speed" is one of the main reasons giving rise to the prosperous business environment. Early in October, the city launched an online business registration system featuring artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology which has greatly enhanced the efficiency of business registration.
