Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd (内蒙古北方重工业集团有限公司), established in 1954, is one of the 156 national key projects established during the national first five-year plan (1953-1958).

The company is engaged in special steel smelting, extrusion, casting, forging and machinery, covering an area of 350 square kilometers. It has more than 15,000 employees and 9,300 pieces of equipment and devices.

The company has developed in three major industries, military weapons and equipment, special steel and augmented products, and mining trucks and engineering machinery. Engineering machinery, such as mining trucks, has been sold in 63 countries and regions, spreading in more than 500 mines and key water conservancy and hydropower engineering projects. Its sales volume ranks top three throughout the world.
