Mengyang Animal Husbandry Co (蒙羊牧业股份有限公司) was established in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, in May 2012 with registered capital of 310 million yuan ($47 million). The company has a comprehensive industry chain including breeding of high-quality sheep, intensive animal husbandry, standardized processing, a cold chain logistics system and nationwide terminal channel coverage.

By integrating its development modes featuring scale, standardization and industrialization with the internet, it has become a leading enterprise in the country's agricultural industry, a member of the World Meat Organization, a pioneer in promoting poverty alleviation in the autonomous regions and a standing unit of China Meat Association. In 2015, Mengyang produced more than 13,000 tons of refined mutton products with  sales volume exceeding 1.8 billion yuan, ranking first in the industry in China for the third consecutive year.
