Electronic information industry

In the last 15 years, Hohhot has developed more than 40 electronic information companies, including the TCL Electrical Appliance Co and Skyworth Electronics (Inner Mongolia) Co and a consumer electronics industrial pattern that combines machine production with support enterprises, and hardware with software products. With its rapid growth, electronic information is now one of six pillar industries in the city.

During the first ten months in 2017, the output value of the electronic information industry reached 15.7 billion yuan ($2.28 billion), a year-on-year increase of 62.4 percent, according to statistics from the local government.
