Nanzhao to boost informatization via big data

Sugon Cloud Computing Group, a domestically leading enterprise in high-performance computing, servers, storage, cloud computing and big data, will invest 200 million yuan ($30 million) to build a big data center in Nanzhao county, Nanyang.

The signing ceremony of the cooperative agreement between the company and local government was recently held in Beijing.

Cloud computing is the technology of the future. Sugon has applied it to various fields including government, energy, internet, education, meteorology, medical treatment and public services, according to Li Jun, president of the company.

With the establishment of the big data center, Sugon will be able to give stronger support to poverty relief work in the county. Specifically, it will collect, update and analyze all relevant information relying on its cloud computing technology and big data platform.

Beyond that, the company will bring its talents and advantageous resources to the county in an attempt to advance information-based construction and applications.
