Xishan Economic Development Zone has introduced more than 1,300 projects, including 600 foreign-funded enterprises from 30 countries and regions in Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia with a total registered contractual foreign capital of $6.7 billion and paid-in foreign capital of $3.5 billion. It is also home to the largest number of Taiwanese companies in the Yangtze River Delta area. Passing the certification of ISO14001, the zone has been honored as the Pilot Economic Development Zone of Recycling Economy.

Dominant industries: electronics, Information Technology and electronic materials, precision machinery, auto components, high-grade textiles and clothing, and modern logistics.
