Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone

Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (扬州经济技术开发区) is the national-level development zone in Yangzhou. 

The zone has 17 national-level titles, such as the National Semiconductor Lighting Industrialization Base, National Green New Energy Characteristic Industrial Base, National Smart Grid Characteristic Industrial Base, National Digital Publishing Base, National Ecological Industry Demonstration Park, and National Science and Technology Innovation Base. 

Such industry clusters as solar photovoltaic, semiconductor lighting, smart grid and e-books have taken shape. Industries such as auto parts, daily necessities, equipment manufacturing, software information and the internet are rising up. Several key enterprises have been introduced here, such as JA Solar Co, Golden Concord Holdings Ltd, Transcend Optronics Co, YAPP Automotive Systems Co, Hisense, Yuen Foong Yu Group, Unicharm Corp and Lear Corp.

In 2015, the zone was ranked 11th among national-level development zones in Jiangsu for its scientific development.
