National marine equipment to be displayed at marine expo

Da Yang 1

Da Yang 1 is China's first modern comprehensive ocean-going research ship, and is capable of conducting investigations and trials on submarine topography, plus marine gravity, magnetism, structure, environment, projects and equipment.

It is 104.5 meters long and 16 meters wide, and has a displacement of 5,600 tons. Since 1995, it has engaged in seven research missions in oceanic mineral resources and several investigations on the continental shelf.
