Shenyang Machine Tool Group

Shenyang Machine Tool Group (SYMG, 沈阳机床集团) was established in 1995 after the restructuring of Shenyang No 1 Machine Tool Plant, Sino-Czech Friendship Factory and Shenyang Third Machine Tool Factory. Since 2004, SYMG has purchased German manufacturer Schiess, restructured Yunnan Machine Tool Factory and taken a controlling share of Kunming Machine Tool Factory, thus creating three trans-regional and trans-national industrial clusters in China’s Shenyang, Kunming and Aschersleben, Germany. SYMG’s products are widely used in the aerospace, automobile, watercraft and energy industries, as well as in the emerging industry like consumer electronics. It provides machine tool products and relevant services for more than 100,000 users across Europe, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. 

At present, SYMG owns 36 intellectual property rights, among them 10 copyrights and 14 patents, with another 12 patents pending.

SYMG is always further upgrading its product line while developing medium- and high-end smart machine tools and numerical-control machine tools. The output rate of numerical-control tools has increased to 85 percent, a remarkable result in the structural adjustment of products.
