Overview of Shenyang

Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning province, has a total area of 13,000 square kilometers and a resident population of 8.3 million, and covers 10 districts, 2 counties and one county-level city.

The gross economic output of Shenyang accounts for about a quarter of that of Liaoning province and about 11 percent of that of Northeast China.
