Dragon Tower

Dragon Tower (Long Ta) is a shortened term denoting Heilongjiang Radio and TV Tower. Built in 1998 and listed as a national 4A-level scenic area in 2002, Dragon Tower is a multi-functional radio and television station providing broadcasting, tourism, catering, entertainment, advertisement and communications. The station is also home to Dragon Tower Science and Technology Park, a national base for popular science education, and the Dragon's Descendants Wax Museum, home to more than 40 wax figures of Chinese emperors and empresses, including Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC); Wu Zetian, China's only empress; and Genghis Khan. The 181-meter-high sightseeing floor boasts the first celebrity hand model store in China, home to more than 300 models of celebrities' hands and some say comparable to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There's also a revolving restaurant standing 186 meters above ground and covering 1,256 square meters, with a comfortable and elegant environment befitting its Chinese and Western cuisine. At 336 meters, Dragon Tower is currently the tallest steel tower in China, and the second tallest of its kind in both Asia and the rest of the world.
