Michael Garza, the current principal bassoon of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, is a brilliant musician who once worked with Yo-Yo Ma and Seiji Ozawa to wow the audience.

Guangzhou, as Michael sees, is a city with a lot of appreciation for fine arts, with ballet, opera, symphonic music and etc. He is often amazed by the artistic vibes here and is impressed by how much people love to sing, dance and get into art.

It has been 16 years since Michael joined the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. To him, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra is a big family with amazing people. It is hard to find such an orchestra in the world, but it is right here in Guangzhou.

Also to Michael, Guangzhou is the perfect land of flavours. It is a food paradise with cuisines accessible 24/7.

With the coverage of Guangzhou's public sports facilities reaching up to 100%, Guangzhou now ushers into a new era of so called "10 Minutes Sports Zone".

Kara Wutzke, from Canada, has lived in Guangzhou for 15 years working as a fitness professional. She wants to fulfil her dream in Guangzhou which is to help people to become healthier. Kara is impressed by all the body-building equipment to be found around the city and accessible to everyone.

Ersha Island is a place with beautiful surroundings and a fitness centre in the park for people to work-out while enjoying being outdoors. It is also Kara's favourite place in Guangzhou. During her 15 years in Guangzhou, she's grown fond of the city and its local people who are kind, helpful and energetic.

David Nebehay, from Austria, is the public relations ambassador of Guangzhou Oktoberfest. He has never imagined that he would be able to buy cars or a house in the city until the day came when he became the prime manager at China Hotel, A Marriott Hotel.

Guangzhou to David, is a city full of opportunities and which he proudly calls home.

David brings heartwarming smiles and star hotel services to customers being here for tourism or business. Born in Austria, David thrives in the flower city of Guangzhou.

Taking a walk in either the old city area such as Yuexiu District or the city's CBD Zhujiang New Town, as David reckons, it's only a matter of time before you fall in love with the city.

Guangzhou illustrates how the integration of business, intelligence and inclusiveness contributes to a city of opportunity, innovation and dreams!

22 years ago, Fortune Global Forum first started in Singapore, since then it is a platform where strong voices are heard in a world of economic globalization.

22 years later, Fortune Global Forum has come to a significant turning point of economic globalization. Guangzhou, as the pioneer of opening-up in China, welcomes Fortune 500 companies to gather here to witness today’s economic growth of China and the stories of how Guangzhou develops and innovates in economic globalization.

In those stories, the stars are the people who grow with the city; people who are attracted to be here from all over the world. They are from different countries, speak different languages, with different cultural backgrounds. But their love and passion for life and the city meet and sparkle in Guangzhou. The city is dynamic and celebrates diversity.

We are ready to embrace the "Guangzhou Moment" at the Fortune Global Forum and showcase our amazing city! This is Guangzhou!
