Bonded warehouse opens at Shenyang airport

A bonded warehouse near Shenyang Taoxian Airport commenced operations on Nov 9 ––the first of its type in Northeast China.

The warehouse will serve the Shenyang section of Liaoning Pilot Free Trade Zone, and is expected cut the operating costs of international airlines.

The 2,005-square-meter warehouse marks the first phase of the whole bonded warehouse project. It has six separate storage rooms for aviation supplies, and maintains a constant temperature and humidity; it also has large storage areas for imported goods, and goods waiting to be exported.

The warehouse has taken five months to build, following two years of preparation work.

According to the operator of the warehouse, it will provide services for imports and exports, customs clearance, and warehousing and logistics –– driving the development of local foreign-trade businesses.
