Baotou school wins national recognition

Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College was recently selected as a national training base for highly-skilled workers, according to a Nov 12 Baotou Daily report.

Founded in 1956, Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College boasts more than 200 training bases worth more than 100 million yuan ($15 million). Majors offered at the school include electromechanics, chemical engineering and e-commerce.

To further strengthen its credentials as a training establishment, the school has set up special studios to recruit highly-skilled workers. At present, a total of 16 highly-skilled workers who have received autonomous region and city-level recognition have come to work in the studios.
