"Some enterprises don't pay much attention to intellectual property and don't even know that they've already committed an infringement," said lawyer Zhuang Haibo, explaining the reason for the frequent disputes on intellectual property rights that Chinese enterprises encounter.

Besides, current situations like increasingly diversified outbound exhibition channels and unsupervised legal services still challenge the protection of intellectual property.

International exhibitions are a platform for displaying new products and exchanging new technologies; they allow enterprises in different countries to set up their own brand images.

Infringement of intellectual property rights in an exhibition adversely affects an enterprise in every possible way and in particular seriously damages its international image. Hence particular importance is attached to intellectual property risk training for exhibitors.

At the end of the meeting, Zhuang analyzed the environment of Indonesia and put forward some feasible strategies for participating enterprises.

"Not only should we focus on the hardware, but also the software." Li pointed out that although steps like exhibition promotion are important a respect for intellectual property rights is also indispensable.
