Media to play bigger role in strengthening Zhanjiang-Haikou ties

Media ties between Haikou and Zhanjiang will be increased with each city airing the other's news broadcasts from Nov 1.

Every day at 7:00 am, Zhanjiang News Broadcast will be aired on the Haikou TV channel and the Haikou News Broadcast will be aired in Zhanjiang at 7:50 am daily. Haikou Daily and Zhanjiang Daily will set up a special column periodically to report the news and information about the other. Three hundred copies of the newspapers will be sent to each other's administrative organizations and enterprises every day.

As two cities sitting across the Qiongzhou Straits, Haikou and Zhanjiang have cemented their cooperation in economy and society. By adding a long-term cooperative mechanism in media, it is expected to realize a mutual prosperity and contribute to the construction of the Qiongzhou Straits Economic Belt.
