An entrepreneurship consulting center has also been set up inside the Cross-Straits Longshan Cultural and Creative Industrial Park to provide policy interpretation, and training services to the entrepreneurs.

Wu Yin-yung, an entrepreneur from Taiwan who set up a Nano-tech company in the Siming district, received a fund of 82,000 yuan from the district during the unveiling ceremony of the bases.

He said the subsidy will not only help solve the difficulties he encounters at the moment, but also serve as an encouragement for his project.

Hou Yen-chi, who operates a ceramic graffiti gallery in Zengcuoan village, said the Siming district has favorable entrepreneurship environment as the local government offers a series of preferential policies for them.

The young Taiwanese entrepreneur considered the unveiling of the entrepreneurship bases as good news for young people from Taiwan in pursuit of their dreams.

In the report he delivered to the 19th CPC Congress, President Xi Jinping stressed the importance of cross-Straits relations, said Dai Lizhu, head of the Taiwan affairs office of the Siming district of Xiamen.

Dai pledged at the unveiling ceremony that the office will issue more policies to support Taiwanese youth entrepreneurship projects and build more distinctive entrepreneurship bases.

Besides the ceremony, a bazaar was held featuring Taiwan specialties and cultural products made by Taiwanese entrepreneurs such as paper-cuts and shadow puppets.

More than 30 entrepreneurship teams from the Siming district set up booths at the bazaar, attracting more than 1,000 visitors.
