Shenyang to create agricultural economy industrial belt

The government of Shenyang announced on Oct 22 that it would create an agricultural economy industrial belt around the city over the next three years, in a bid to push forward the development of modern agriculture.

According to the plan, the agricultural belt will include 21 agriculture demonstration parks, 20 agricultural gardens where people can pick their own produce, five greenhouse projects and five characteristic villages –– focusing on high efficiency, good quality and environmental protection.

Urban residents will get access to fresh and healthy agricultural produce within a one-hour drive of their homes.
