Nanyang-Haikou flight to resume operation

Nanyang residents planning a travel to Haikou will no longer have to transfer in Zhengzhou, as the direct air route linking the two cities will be resumed from Oct 31, to March 25, 2018.

By then, a pair of A320 aircrafts with a total capacity of 180 seats will leave Nanyang at 8:00 pm and Haikou at 4:30 pm every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The whole trip won't take more than 2.5 hours.

A tropical city, Haikou is a popular tourist destination especially in winter. The resumed air route is expected to boost economic development tourism as well as increase exchanges between the two cities.

Travel agencies in Nanyang have already launched corresponding tourist products. The first batch of tourists will leave for Haikou by train on Oct 24 and return to Nanyang by plane. A five-day round trip by plane will be available every Tuesday as from Oct 31.
