China justice minister meets Vietnam vice-minister of justice

Zhang Jun, China's minister of Justice, met with a Vietnam delegation led by Nguyen Khanh Ngoc, vice-minister of Justice, on Oct 12 in Beijing.

The two sides held meetings to exchanges ideas on amicable relations and judicial cooperation. Zhang Jun introduced the achievements in legal construction and Party building emphasizing that the rule of law was included in China's Constitution in 1999.

Zhang said that the Chinese Communist Party proposes and implements socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics and advocates modern democratic ideas.

He pointed out that Chinese government has been working to deepen judicial system reform and promote the construction of a modern country ruled by law.

He also introduced legislation and legal publicity work in China and expressed hopes that the ministries of the two countries will strengthen exchanges in legal construction and learn from each other to contribute to economic and social development.

Ngoc praised the achievements in China's economic and social development and legal construction and expressed his congratulation to the 19th session of the National Congress of the CPC.

He also said he hopes that the ministers of justice of the two countries will stay in contact and sign a Memorandum of Understanding for further cooperation.
