Xiamen organizes a training program for foreign affairs officers

The Xiamen foreign and overseas Chinese affairs office organized a training program for the city's foreign affairs officers from Sept 28 to 29.

The aim of the program is to improve administrative related works regarding going abroad on business and facilitating international exchanges.

More than 160 staff members involved in foreign affairs from the city's government department, public institutes, companies and universities attended the two-day training program.

Wu Jian, head of the passport office of the department of consular affairs of China's Foreign Affairs Ministry, in an address, introduced the development history of Passport for Public Affairs and the construction of the nation's e-passport system for public affairs.

Lin Hui, an official with the Fujian provincial foreign affairs office, interpreted the regulations regarding the provincial and national policy on the approval of going abroad on business.

Kong Suting and QiuYongcai, members of the Party leadership group of the Xiamen foreign and overseas Chinese affairs office also made speeches during the sessions.
