Ningbo signed three agreements to deepen its educational ties with the city of Auckland, New Zealand at a conference in the Zhejiang province city on Sept 28.

The first agreement will see the two cities collaborate on a project to implement STEAM—a teaching methodology that emphasizes the integration of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics into one curriculum—into schools across Ningbo.

Two further agreements confirm deals between Ningbo and the University of Auckland and Queensland University of Technology to work together to promote online courses in the two regions.

Ningbo and Auckland are sister cities and have held education cooperation meetings for five consecutive years.

The two sides have launched a variety of projects to deepen their partnership in recent years, including exchange visits, seminars on teaching methods and long-distance teaching programs.
