Governments at all levels will strengthen their leadership and lend support to regional green development in areas such as policies, markets and publicity.
In addition to protecting the ecological environment, Anhui had put forward a number of guidelines early in 2015 to promote the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
A smooth, efficient, safe and environmentally friendly inland water transport network was established and the function layouts of ports were optimized, making full use of the golden waterway along the Yangtze.
Anhui was expected to develop a comprehensive three-dimensional transport corridor with large capacity centered around the provincial capital, Hefei.
The province has devoted great efforts in promoting innovation-driven development strategies, improving the industrial transfers to boost the development of industrial clusters. Leading industries with core competitiveness such as biopharmaceuticals, general aviation and new energy automobiles would see rapid development, along with modern agriculture and the modern service industry.
Anhui would make full use of the opportunities in the construction of world-class urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta, improving the development quality of urbanization. More international communications and cooperation would be carried out to turn Hefei into the subcenter of the agglomeration.
A more open and active development strategy would be adapted to promote the open economy in Anhui. The transformation and upgrading of development zones would be accelerated and the construction of special surveillance areas and open ports would progress. Customs clearance along the Yangtze River would be simplified.
A coordinated regional development mechanism would be innovated to properly deal with the relations between government and the markets in different regions.
