Ningbo is on the list of top 10 Chinese cities in smart city governance, according to a report released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the China Center for Urban Development on Sept 22.
The report evaluated 293 provincial and prefectural level cities based on five key indicators, including the locals' conception of smartness, smart management and smart services.
The results showed that around 52 percent of the cities scored between 40-50, offering room for further improvement.
The 10 cities are Wuxi, Chengdu, Foshan, Ningbo, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Hangzhou and Qingdao.
