Experts discuss application of magnesium in Shenyang

The Sixth International Magnesium and Magnesium Alloys Conference was held in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province, from Sept 24 to 26.

The conference invited over 400 experts and scholars from the United States, Canada, Germany, the UK and Japan to discuss magnesium production technology, magnesium alloys research and development, design and application of magnesium, and magnesium recycling and environmental protection.

Magnesium and magnesium alloys are widely used in various sectors including vehicles, aviation, computers and electronics.

In line with the development of new magnesium processing technologies and innovative applications, the conference aims to provide a platform for experts and scholars to discuss application prospects for magnesium.

Supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the conference has previously been held in Beijing and Qingdao.
