Wuxi People's Hospital has also been appointed to set up clinics in SSEZ, and to assemble and guide the medical aid team to be sent to Cambodia.

The construction of the healthcare center in SSEZ were completed thanks to the help of a delegation from Wuxi People's Hospital, lead by the hospital's vice-president and Party committee deputy secretary, Yao Yong, who discussed plans for the project with local companies and offered guidance on medical treatment inside the center and the layout of consulting rooms.

They also helped test out the video call system for remote consultations and conducted careful investigations into standard of the local accommodation, canteen, and other facilities.

Wuxi People's Hospital established a checkout room, consulting room for teaching, transfusion room, debridement room, and gynecological room inside the healthcare center.

The hospital has also helped relieve an acute shortage of medical supplies in SSEZ by sending a wide range of provisions to Cambodia. This included 531,400 yuan ($80,550) worth of equipment such as electrocardiograph machines, rescue carriages, automated biochemical analyzers and microscope, and 153,400 yuan ($23,250) worth of medicine.
