Huishan district was established in 2001, and has an area of 325 square kilometers and a permanent population of 580,000.
Huishan enjoys a good reputation for its beautiful scenery and rapidly developing economy, known as "a land of fish and rice".
In recent years, it has pioneered many industries, such as metallurgy, machinery and textiles, as well as four emerging industries, including photovoltaic solar and wind power generation devices, auto and auto parts, biomedical technology and digital technology.
