Sanmenxia reveals mascot for 8th Municipal Sports Games

After over a month's selection, the theme song, mascot and badge for the 8th Sanmenxia Municipal Sports Games have been released recently, according to the Sanmenxia sports bureau.

According to the competition sponsor, 122 works from 16 provinces and cities were submitted for the selection process, including 45 badge designs, 20 themed songs and 14 mascots.

Named Flame of Sanmenxia, the design of this year's competition badge is based on the letter "S" and incorporates the visual elements of a burning torch, flying swan and the meandering Yellow River.

This year's mascot, a swan, symbolizes the fast development of the sports industry in Sanmenxia.
