Ningbo to hold Smart City Expo China 2017

The three-day Smart City Expo China 2017 will open in Ningbo, Zhejiang province on Sep 8 with a theme of "intelligence".

This year's Smart City Expo China is expected to display a variety of cutting-edge technologies, such as facial recognition systems and VR techniques.

Dozens of famous companies will attend the event, including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Huawei, Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, IBM and Siemens.

The Expo will exhibit Ningbo's achievements on Smart City, as well as its solutions to problems such as urban management, environment, transportation and infrastructure.

Alibaba's ET City Brain, the largest public artificial intelligence system of the world, will also be showed. The system can sample and monitor real-time situations and routes of vehicles around the entire city, while improving peoples' traveling experience.

During the Expo, China Mobile will show its 5G communication technology and launch the new 4G-sports mobile phone packed with mobile payments.

Zhejiang Unitech will release the "Smart Screen" which applies AR/VR technology to liquid crystal displays to realize the objective of simulated dressing.
