Public safety activity carried out in Sanmenxia

A health and safety seminar was carried out in Sanmenxia on Aug 25, with Sanmenxia Deputy Mayor Qing Zhiying joining in the activity to help educate local residence on the importance of safety in the prevention of debilitating injuries.

According to the activity sponsor, the activity focused on educating locals on how to identify risks and prevent injuries at the workplace and at home.

Some 18 publicity boards and over 1,000 brochures were issued at the activity site, offering comprehensive information of how to prevent birth defects and accidental injury.

"Official departments at different levels need make more of an effort to help local residents strengthen their abilities of protecting themselves from injuries," Qing said.
