Delivery industry booms in Sanmenxia

In the first half of this year, Sanmenxia–based delivery enterprises have completed 5.26 million orders, a year–on–year increase of 87.5 percent.

Ranking second highest in Henan province, Sanmenxia has seen an increasing expansion of its delivery services industry.

Sanmenxia local authorities have also made efforts to promote the delivery services industry in its local villages. Official statistics show that there are a total of 183 delivery enterprises covering all areas of Sanmenxia.

To accommodate local situations, smart express boxes have been employed to provide conveniences for delivery workers and local residents, as the delivery goods can be stored in delivery boxes if the recipients are not available to receive the goods at the time of delivery.

Meanwhile, local authorities have also launched a project to support the delivery of agricultural products. In the first half of this year, 4.5 million agricultural deliveries have been completed in Sanmenxia, bringing the export of agricultural products to 10 million kilograms.
