Wuxi gears up for a high-profile IoT exposition

China's top IoT event, the 2017 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT), is set to take place in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on September 10-13.

This year's WIOT will be bigger and more high-profile than ever before. Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, the expo will be attended by more companies and more visitors from more countries than the 2016 edition.

The 2017 WIOT will be attended by several of the world's most important international institutes, including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Globe standard 1 (GS1), and many high-profile companies such as pharmaceutical multinational AstraZeneca, e-commerce giant Alibaba and Chinese tech developer Huawei.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) also plans to host the Smart City International Conference during the expo, focusing on the latest advances and development trends in smart city design.

It will also be attended by leading int'l institutes, think tanks and companies including Alibaba and Huawei.

The expo will feature 10 summit forums focusing on fields related to internet of things, including artificial intelligence, Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology and smart fitness devices.

A total of ten industry summits focusing on IoT-related fields including AI, NB-IoT and smart fitness devices will be staged by then.

Companies will also have the opportunity to meet new potential investors and elite-level talent at the 2017 WIOT's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Communication Conference and IoT Investment Summit.
