Youth soccer championship kicks off in Shenyang

The Third Peace Cup International Youth Soccer Championship kicked off at Shenyang international soccer park in Shenyang City, Liaoning province, on Aug 6.

According to the match committee, around 2,800 participants representing 146 teams from 10 countries will take part in the event, of which, foreign teams will account for 20, including teams from Russia, Denmark, Mongolia, Span, Japan and Thailand; and 126 teams from China.

The event consists of an opening ceremony, a seven-day competition with over 400 matches and other cultural exchange activities such as visiting Mukden Palace, Shenyang soccer museum, and Liaoning Science and Technology Museum.

The event is a good platform for young people around the world to share their experiences and a good way to enhance cultural communication between China and other countries.
