E-surfing Expo opens in Guangzhou

Deals worth more than 110 billion yuan ($16 billion) were sealed at the 2017 E-surfing Smart Ecosystem Expo, held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou on July 27.

Under the theme of "Intelligence Creates the Future", the expo centered on areas including internet of things, mobile internet, home automation, internet of vehicles and smart hardware, as well as showing off the great achievements made by China Telecom in its service network construction over the past year.

More than 500 exhibitors took part in the four-day expo which covers an area of 40,000 square meters. Special exhibition zones were set up to showcase smart terminals, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) wearable devices and smart home appliances.

The E-surfing Expo was first held in 2009, growing from an annual event to sell mobile devices to a national platform showcasing trends in global information communications technologies.
