The agreed projects cover multiple industries such as food, could computing, new materials, modern services and auto manufacturing, with a focus on high-end equipment manufacturing, food production and processing, as well as information technology.

Among the projects, the 3D-printing material production factory and 3D-printing exhibition projects are the most significant.

The two projects will together provide a complete 3D-printing industry chain for Harbin Economic and Technological Zone when they finish construction, involving 3D-printing materials manufacturing, 3D-printer production and maintenance, customized 3D-printing products, and a 3D-printing exhibition, according to Dai Rujun, general manager of Xinda Heilongjiang Co.

In addition, Xinda Heilongjiang Co plans to invest 700 million yuan to develop an online platform integrating automated management, big data analysis and cloud computing. Meanwhile, a 3D-printing exhibition hall which will give visitors an opportunity to learn about the history and technology of 3D printing will open in the future. Visitors can also print their own designs at the exhibition hall.

Construction work on the two 3D-printing projects will start shortly after the signing ceremony, Dai Rujun added.
