Hong Kong students tour Nanyang

A group of 16 students from the Hong Kong special administrative region visited Xichuan county in Nanyang, Henan province, on July 9 in a bid to strengthen communication between Hong Kong and Xichuan.

Organized by Takung and the Wenwei Media Group, the visit is just one stop of the "Fan Changjiang-Hong Kong Media Students Touring Central Plain" program.

Students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University, together with students from Henan University and Zhengzhou University had a deep field exploration of the central plain region.

In Xichuan, they visited the Fuseng honeysuckle field and Qushou Dam, gaining deep insights in the ecological construction and poverty-relief efforts of the county.

In recent years, Xichuan has attached importance to agricultural development, tourism, industrial economy and urban-rural construction to maintain sound and stable development.
