Tourism festival held in Lushi

The third Top 100 Counties with Good Air Quality Tourism Festival kicked off in Lushi county, Sanmenxia, Henan province, on July 1.

A variety of activities were held during the festival, including a themed gala, a mini marathon, the awarding ceremony of "Jinghua Cup" Poetry and Essay Competition, a forum, a signing ceremony for the establishment of the developing association of the top 100 counties with good air quality, and the opening ceremony for Dani Bay Scenic Area.

Local top officials and representatives from other 51 enlisted top counties of good air quality attended the opening ceremony.

An Wei, mayor of Sanmenxia, mentioned the city's proactive measures to improve as a national tourist demonstration city.

"Sanmenxia is showing a strong momentum in the tourist industry. Lushi county especially contributed a great deal with the use of its unique and rich tourism resources”, An added.

Lushi was listed among China's top 100 counties for air quality by the China Society of Territorial Economists and the Ministry of Environmental Protection earlier this year, owning to its well-preserved environment, unique geography and natural beauty.
