Office for promoting Chinese tea art unveiled in Xiamen

The office will invite Taiwan tea lovers to give regular lectures on tea art, and hold tea ceremonies or tea art competitions to enhance cross-Straits tea exchanges, according to Feng Wenxuan, director of the office.

It will also help provide a favorable entrepreneurial environment for members of the association looking to expand their businesses to the Chinese mainland. One of its important tasks is to strive for universal standards in the tea industry in both Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.

An exhibition of Eastern tea furniture was also held after the opening ceremony. Several tea professionals across the Taiwan Straits demonstrated 10 pieces of exquisite tea furniture, as well as a variety of products traded along the Maritime Silk Road including tea, silk, porcelain and spices.
