Agricultural products fair coming to Sanmenxia

A second Internet Plus agricultural products fair of the Yellow River golden triangle region will be held in Sanmenxia, Henan province, from May 28 to 29.

Nearly 70 enterprises producing special agricultural products from more than ten provinces will take part in the event to seek new business opportunities with over 40 commercial and chain supermarkets from throughout the country.

This year's fair promises to be more diverse than the first, adding theme activities such as marketing training, business forums and signing ceremonies for major agricultural projects.

Sanmenxia's own internet food distribution center project will also be launched during the fair. The project aims to be the largest food distribution platform in the Yellow River golden triangle region, featuring a B2B e-commerce system and an investment of 60 million yuan ($8.7 million).

A rose grape production base, to begin construction soon, is another highlight of this year's fair. The base will produce and export grape products according overseas, with expectations of reaching an output value of 200 million yuan ($29 million).

The agricultural products fair is a part of the fifth China Specialty Products Fair, taking place in Sanmenxia from May 26 to 30.
