Turtle head Isle hosts iris flower celebration

Turtle Head Isle, the crown jewel of Wuxi's scenic spots, is hosting a flower-themed event focused on irises. The display will run until June 15.

The bluish purple flower is currently coming into full blossom at the city's 5A scenic spot and the organizers have offered visitors a range of exciting activities aside from sightseeing. These include barbequing, musical recitals, charming areas to relax and read, and a wine tasting area.

In celebration of the event, organizers have reduced the price of tickets from 105 yuan ($15) per person, to 30 yuan ($4) from May 18 to 24. The price drop is part of Wuxi's tourism week with 53 scenic spots in the city also launching ticket discounts.
