Some of the attendees elected to stay at Nianhuawan and the Lingshan Mountain scenic spot, amazed at the area's resplendent natural landscape. Many of the attending academics decided to visit the Wuxi Museum, the Former Residence of Xue Fucheng and Donglin Academy, paying tribute to the city's deep commercial and industrial culture.

Others strolled around Yuantouzhu scenic spot, Huishan Ancient Town and its clay figurine museum, immersed in the charm of traditional culture. Most of the scientists and researchers, meanwhile, made a beeline for the city's technology hub, Xinwu district, where they were shown around the National Supercomputing Center, the Graphene Industrial Development Zone and the Internet of Things Research Institute.

Many of the celebrities, particularly those that live abroad, were deeply impressed by what they saw. They said that it is their responsibility to promote the customs and achievements of Wuxi in every corner of the world.
