Although stair racing has become increasingly popular in China, this was the first time the event has been held in Wuxi and IFS was proud to host the inaugural event with Ling Weiluo, the building's vice manager, stating that he believed the building to be perfectly suited for such a competition.

"IFS is the tallest building in Wuxi, and we feel proud to host brand events promoting sport and a positive lifestyle."

The view from the 65-floor building is certainly worth getting a sweat on for with Wuxi Museum and the landmark Grand Canal on one side and beautiful Taihu Lake and Huishan Mountain on the other.

The event was also part charity event with the organizers promising to donate one cent for every step taken by athletes to a local woman's charity in support of mother's day. According to the event organizer, the next stage of the tournament will be held in Nanchang, the capital city of East China's Jiangxi province on May 20.
