"The ultimate goal for the competition to guide students to seek employment," said Jiang Jibin, president of Fujian Polytechnic of Information Technology, adding that nurturing more talents with information security knowledge could meet the great market demand as IT economy booms across the world.

Speaking of the school's new campus which is under construction in Pingtan, Jiang said the new school shall open up courses on tourism, bring in more related talents, and contribute its own efforts to building Pingtan into an international tourism island.
The event, launched by the Ministry of Education in 2008, has been held ten times and serves to deepen higher vocational education reform, intensify cultivation of skilled and applied talents, and create an environment of societal awareness and support for higher vocational education.
