Young employees shine in flash mob

Passengers in the departure hall of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport received a pleasant surprise on May 4, as staff members from China Southern Airlines (CSA) burst into a song and dance routine.

The flash mob was performed to celebrate National Youth Day, and began with a young flight attendant playing the violin. She was quickly joined by a guitarist, drummer and violoncellist to create a spontaneous orchestra.

The music was accompanied by ballet, street dance, and a cappella singing showing a vast array of talent among young people today. Organized by the volunteer association of the CSA, the performance lasted about half an hour.

"We want to brighten up the day for weary travellers," said Zhao Junkai, a young CSA employee. "There can be a lot of waiting when catching a flight, so this activity can help them pass the time."
