Three more hospitals added to cross-city healthcare reimbursement lists

Another three hospitals in Shenyang are on the cross-city healthcare reimbursement list of the Liaoning provincial healthcare reimbursement system, providing much greater convenience for the province’s residents.

By adding the three hospitals — the Sixth People’s Hospital of Shenyang, Shenyang Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the Tenth People’s Hospital of Shenyang — the number of hospitals in Shenyang city that provide cross-city healthcare reimbursement services has reached 39.

China’s hospitals are divided into three levels according to their function, technology and facilities, with the first level being the best.

Of those 39, 28 are in the third level.

The cross-city healthcare reimbursement system directly benefits those who work or seek medical treatment in a different city in Liaoning province, allowing them to use their health care cards to pay for services in real time in any city on Shenyang’s cooperating hospital lists.

Since July 2015, Shenyang, Panjing and Tieling have started trial operations of the cross-city healthcare reimbursement system. Currently, 14 cities in the province have joined the system.
