An exhibition featuring artwork created by Wang Hongcai, a prestigious painter with expertise in traditional Chinese painting, opened at Baotou Art Museum on April 3, reports Baotou Evening News.

The exhibition will run until April 25. A total of 66 pieces of artwork created by Wang Hongcai will be on display, covering a broad spectrum of themes including prairie life and historical allusion, all designed to display his deep attachment and love for nomadic culture.

Baotou, the largest city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has long attached importance to its culture industry and is rich in cultural resources, said Zhang Yuanzhong, Party secretary of Baotou.

Co-hosted by the press, publications, radio, film and television bureau of Baotou and Baotou Literature and Arts Association, the art exhibition is expected to further promote Baotou’s arts development and to boost the city’s profile nationwide.

Wang Hongcai, born in 1946, is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and professor at Baotou Normal College, who produces unique and well-regarded paintings.
