Two of China's ride-hailing companies, including Didi Chuxing, recently obtained their first online operating licenses from the Shenyang transport bureau, strengthening government recognition of their businesses, Xinhua reported on March 20.

Didi Chuxing, China’s largest car-sharing platform, received formal accreditation of its car-hailing services on March 17.

As of July 2016, the Didi Chuxing car-sharing platform had provided around 8,300 flexible employment positions for Shenyang residents, significantly boosting employment rates in Shenyang.

Shenyang will successively issue online operating licenses for other ride-hailing companies as it attempts to regulate modern services, according to information from Shenyang transport bureau.

In addition, the application process for the qualification certificate to operate taxi services was also simplified. Shenyang residents who plan to apply for the qualification certification will no longer need to submit the previously stipulated materials, such as criminal record checks. Instead, they just need to make a commitment to safety during their training in Shenyang.
